Owyhigh Lakes-White River side 8-10-08
Hiked with my sister Adrienna today. Every hike we have done so far has been not so desirable as far as weather is concerned.. I keep telling her about amazing places I’ve been and then we actually go and it’s pouring rain, cloudy, or snowing.. ie: Lake Serene, Wallace Falls, & now today Owyhigh lakes. It wasn’t a total loss we did see some great wild flowers, fox or coyote on the trail, not sure which. He/she was so cute! Just checking us out for a minute or two and then ran off. We saw bear scat around the lakes. It was sprinkling and very cold today! So not August 10th weather!
Big accident on 410 on the way home at least 15 mile back up and delay of 1 hour…accident investigation. Hope everyone is ok?
My sister is 40 lbs. lighter, 5 years younger, and 4 feet taller so she tends to cruise a bit faster then I, but we still had a great time and she slowed down on the way down. Bugs were not too bad.
Well sis, here is to another cold hike. I promise next one will be sunny?!
