Cheesy Grits and Bacon
Break-up the oatmeal routine by throwing grits into your breakfast rotation. While you're at it—why not toss in some bacon and cheese.

About 2-4 servings
PREP TIME / COOK TIME
5 minutes / 15 minutes
- 2 packets instant grits
- 1 tsp butter powder
- 2 tsp onion flakes
- 1 tsp garlic flakes
- 2 tbsp bacon cumbles
- 2 tbsp powdered cheese
- 2 tbsp fried shallots (or crispy onions)
- fresh ground pepper to taste
Bring 1 cup of water to a boil.
Remove bag of shallots, and add remaining contents to boiling water.
Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 8-10 minutes.
Divide between two mugs and top with shallots.
