Great afternoon for an overnight up at Artist's Point and Huntoon Point. Took us about an hour to snowshoe up to the point and scout around for a camp spot. Several promising locations were already carved out of the snow. The weather seemed mild during the day but got cold and windy at night. We did well with our ten degree bags and 3 season tent.

Mike,
My girlfriend and I will be visiting WA and OR in mid to late June. We'd like to do a hike in an area like Artist Point or Park Butte, but we've never been to the Pacific Northwest and don't know what to expect in terms of hiking conditions for that time of the year. Obviously there is a ton of snow at that elevation, currently.
Would either of these places be hike-able without gear in mid/late June? If not, what would you recommend.
Thanks,
Eric

Either should be mostly snow free in late June. Both are great hikes but I would try Park Butte if you have to choose...
