Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West
Lake Serene - Bridal Veil Falls by JohnFang
Two groups with 11 people and one dog jointly hiked both the lake and the fall. Highway 2 was snow free, but the spur road to the trailhead was covered with snow and ice. Cars could be stuck in the parking log with uneven snow on ground, be careful. The trail condition for the first 2-2.5 miles was good and the snow was packed. But a lot of fresh snow after that. Fortunately, the trail had a good snowshoeing track such that you only need microspike. Gaiters are very helpful in the case of postholing. The lake was covered with snow, but the review was gorgeous. The spur trail to the fall was steep in some sections, poles and ice axes were helpful. We met a good number of parties on this trail today.

Is two parties of 11 people your way of indicating there was a party of 22? That's a lot!
