North Centennial Trail (Snohomish) — Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017

Puget Sound and Islands > Bellingham Area
I'd never been to the north end of centennial trail, so since I was driving by the Nakashima Barn trailhead I stopped to check it out. I took the unpaved (north) path. It is flat, easy, and mostly not that muddy. However, there are a few un-avoidable mud puddles and, at about a mile from the parking lot, a spot where the marsh was spilling over the whole trail. Since I wasn't wearing the right shoes I turned around there. Not a destination hike, but a pleasant, relaxing one. Birds singing, sun shining, and not at all crowded.
