The weather was really nice for the hike on Memorial weekend. Along with the nice weather came large, large numbers of people. Every camp site was taken along the lake and it was almost a line in each direction along the trail. Also every parking spot imaginable in the area was filled. The fishing was pretty good at the lake for those who had brought a spinning rod. Unfortunately I only brought a fly rod and the wind was relentless at the lake. Overall a great hike with incredible views, the bugs were pretty much non-extant which was nice considering all of the previous posts I had read were so negative about mesquites, no problem this late in the year.
