My mantra: Mountains heal. I am an avid Pacific Northwest hiker, birding enthusiast, and Tuesday morning hike leader for the Seattle Mountaineers. I'm honored to be the recipient of the 2025 Mountaineers Service Award, which goes to ONE volunteer org-wide who goes above and beyond in excellence. WTA has been a huge part of that for me. I love finding new-to-me lakes and pristine, beautiful, solitary destinations, especially if I can find an unexpected bird or two or encounter snow. My pet peeve is finding dog poop bags, orange peels, or other evidence that humans have been there before me. I enjoy posting WTA trip reports to expand my community, raise safety awareness, grow consciousness for proper trail etiquette, and meet like-minded outdoor enthusiasts. My 2026 project includes the Mountaineers Olympia branch "Alpine Lakes" badge (12 destinations), CHS leading on Tuesdays, and scouting parts of the Section J trail of the PCT.
