Hiking Airport Levee Trail

The terrain is flat as the trail stays atop the levee, which was built to keep the Chehalis River from flooding the airport during a high water year. This trail is a great destination for a hike, trail run or bike ride.

Getting There

From I-5 southbound, take exit 79 in Chehalis. At the end of the off ramp turn right onto NW Chamber of Commerce Way for a few hundred feet. Turn left onto NW Louisiana Ave for a little over half a mile, then turn right onto NW Airport road for 0.2 mile before turning right into the parking area. There is space for 7 cars. Walk from the entrance of the parking area west along the shoulder of NW Airport Road for about 500 feet before coming to the start of the trail on your right, just across from NW Florida Avenue.
