WTA is a nonprofit that needs you

We’re just as excited as you to get the summer hiking season started. We're psyched our website and work for trails help you get outside.

But we're a nonprofit run on donations from regular people. If everyone who visited this website this holiday weekend donated $9/month, it would fully fund our work for the next 2 years. Of course, time spent outdoors is priceless, but every donation large or small helps us support those experiences for everyone.

Please take 2 minutes to chip in $9.

An overgrown and hard-to-follow trail in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, Cascade Creek offers intrepid hikers backdoor access to Navaho Peak, and the possibility of loops in and all around the Teanaway area.

Eight miles in on the Ingalls Creek trail is the turnoff for the Cascade Creek trail. This may be hard to spot since the trail hasn't seen maintenance in years. Be sure to have a map for navigating this.

Crossing Ingalls Creek requires a ford, which can be quite dangerous in the spring, so be prepared. Once past, it's an overgrown climb up the Cascade Creek drainage to the more open talus fields and finally the pass just below Navaho Peak. To reach the peak, head left from the pass and follow the boot path to the summit.
