Located in Colville National Forest, Chewelah Peak is a great place to explore a ski resort when the lift lines are dispersed and the snow has melted. Hike up through mountain meadows to the top of Chewelah Peak, home of 49 Degrees North mountain resort, for spectacular views.
Hiking, mountain biking, and huckleberry picking are all excellent ways to make your way to the summit by simply hiking up the open ski runs. Pick your grade, from moderate to steep, there is a way to achieve the summit for almost anyone. Once on top, take a look around at gorgeous views of the Colville National Forest and the surrounding area.
There is a restroom at the top for hikers, stocked with toilet paper, but bring your own hand sanitizer.
