WTA is a nonprofit that needs you

We're just as excited as you to get the summer hiking season started. We're psyched our website, app and work for trails help you get outside.

But we're a nonprofit that runs on donations from regular people. If everyone who visited this site this holiday weekend donated $9/month, it would fully fund our work for the next 2 years. Time spent outdoors is priceless, but every donation large or small helps us support those experiences for everyone. Thank you and happy hiking!

Hiking Chybinski Loop

Located in the Cougar/Squak Mountain Corridor is the Chybinski Loop Trail. This trail is a great way to experience the area’s extensive trail system and discover new experience each time you return.

There are many ways to enjoy the fabulous Chybinski Loop Trail. A lovely option is to start and end at the Margaret’s Way trailhead. At the end of Margaret’s Way is a wooden sign declaring that you have reached the Chybinski Loop. A quick 0.3 miles from this junction is Debbie’s View which provides a spectacular view of Mount Rainer.

For an approximately 8 mile roundtrip hike, use the Bullitt Fireplace Trail to complete your loop. Longer hikes are easy to accomplish via the connecting Coal Mine Trail, West Peak Trail, Central Peak Trail and Perimeter Loop Trail.

WTA worked here in 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018 and 2017!
