Hiking Crystal Mountain Resort Snowshoe Trails

There are 6 designated snowshoe trails at Crystal Mountain Resort forming a network in Bullion Basin. This is the only area for snowshoeing at the resort. Snowshoeing is not allowed at the top of the Gondola or on the ski slopes.

The snowshoe area is easily accessed to the east of the main parking area at the end of Crystal Mountain Boulevard. Snowshoeing gear is available from the Crystal Mountain rental shop including snowshoes and poles. Access the trails from one of two trailheads adjacent to the parking area, then explore the trails as much as you’d like.

The six trails are rated easy, moderate or hard and vary in length  (from 0.5 to 2 miles). The harder trails offer more climbing. Choose one of the established routes, like the Blue Bell Loop or combine several trails to make your own adventure. Check out a map of all the trails from Crystal Mountain Resort to plan your trip.

Getting There

Parking policies may change season to season so check with the resort for the most up-to-date information.

Parking reservations are required to park at Crystal Mountain Resort on weekends and holidays for both season’s pass holders and non-pass holders. A parking fee is also required for non-pass holders only on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. There is no parking fee from Monday through Thursday.

An alternate option is to take the free shuttle that runs several times throughout the day on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. It runs between the Enumclaw Expo Center and the resort. Reservations required on Fridays only.

From Enumclaw drive south on Highway 410 for about 30 miles, then turn left onto Crystal Mountain Boulevard for another 6.2 miles to the main parking lot. You may have to park farther out in a different parking lot depending on how busy it is. Find the rental shop at the south end of the main parking lot and the snowshoe trails directly east of the main parking lot.
