Hiking Dead Horse Lake

Despite its name, Dead Horse Lake is a beautiful location. Take a short hike in from the trailhead to big skies, rolling hills, and a peaceful lakeshore.

From the lake, trails branch off in many directions, inviting exploration and lingering. Balsamroot bloom in the spring, and the fragrance of other wildflowers and sage is intoxicating. Birds sing and the wind whispers -- this hike is a feast for the senses.
