This is a loop hike created in April 2013 to provide for a new hiking experience while preserving some areas of the natural area for wildlife.
This trail takes hikers up to a rocky overlook of the Spokane Valley with great views reaching to Mount Spokane and beyond. The trail has a turn around point near the last pond in the natural area and then returns hikers at Camp Caro near Appleway and Sargent Road.

Getting There

From Sprague (west-bound)/Appleway (east-bound) in the Spokane Valley, turn south on Sargent Road. Sargent deadends at Camp Caro’s parking lot at 625 S. Sargent Rd.; an overflow lot is available closer to the main road should the upper lot be full.
