Hiking Double Bluff

Looking for a great day at the beach with the dog? Double Bluff is the place to be! Time it just right and at low tide you could walk for miles!

Hike west along Double Bluff, just off 525 on Whidbey Island. follow the road until it runs out and there is a little parking area--very little! In the summer there is parking on the sides of the road, so be sure to get there early in the day to get a good spot.

Double Bluff is a designated off-leash dog park, one of many on the Island. The beach is large and goes for miles. The people and pets are friendly and everyone appreciates the great views.

From the bluffs showing their layers and housing eagles, to the vast stretch of the Puget Sound accenting the beautiful mountains, there is plenty to see on this beachside jaunt.

From the beach on almost any day, you can see Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, the Cascades, the Olympics, even the downtown area of Seattle when the sun is out! This is a very easy walk, if you don't mind the sand.
