Hiking Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park

This park sits at the southern end of Lake Washington in Renton. With a network of paved trails, it is a wonderful place to enjoy the lake and get some miles in.

From the parking area at the southern end of the park you have some options. One route is to head out to small Bird Island on a spiraling boardwalk. This southern portion of the park is also where you’ll find the restrooms, and some piers extending out over the lake.

To get some more miles in, head north along the paved main path that extends the length of the park for a little over a mile, going right along the lakeshore for the majority of its length. You will eventually arrive at a gate marking the park boundary and the turnaround point.

Note: Dogs are not allowed in any portion of Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park.
