The trail network on North Chuckanut Mountain leads hikers through groves of alders and maples, past waterfalls and streams and to lakes with names that evoke remote wilderness, despite being right in Bellingham’s backyard.
The Hemlock Trail is one of these many trails on Chuckanut Mountain, just south of Fairhaven. This is a main trail, with many alternate routes branching off to provide visitors with a variety of hiking options.
