Hiking Inside Passage

This 1.6-mile section of trail is located in the Tiger Mountain State Forest. It is popular with mountain bikers and hikers.

There are multiple ways to reach the Inside Passage trail. For an approximately 6.2-mile, roundtrip adventure, start at the Tiger Mountain Summit Trailhead.

Take the 0.2-mile Connector Trail from the trailhead, then continue up the Master Link trail. After about 1.3 miles, take a right to get on the Inside Passage trail.

Continue approximately 1.6 miles to the end of the Inside Passage trail, then take the Joyride trail. The Joyride trail will take you about a mile to the NW Timber Trail which leads back to the Connector Trail and Tiger Mountain Summit Trailhead.

Getting There

From Seattle: From I-90 take exit 25 and drive south on State Route 18 to the Tiger Mountain summit. At the summit, turn right (west) into the large parking lot.
