The Maloney Creek and Forest is home to old-growth and the wildlife habitat that comes with it. Though the forest itself is large (300 acres) there's just a small trail here. No matter, it's a beautiful peaceful place, perfect for enjoying a quiet moment beneath the trees.
A very short half-mile trail meanders through the large trees in Maloney forest. The trees here range from 50 to 200 years old or more. Previously, a trail to a high point climbed up from the valley floor along the creek, but it is not maintained and has dozens of blowdowns or bush to navigate.
