Hiking Monument 78

Monument 78 can be found in Washington along the famous Pacific Crest Trail. While the Monument itself is located on the Washington side of the US-Canadian border, accessing it from the Washington side is difficult to do in a single day. The mileage and elevation data given is for a day hike starting in Canada at Manning Park.

Getting There

From Oroville, Washington, take Central Ave W to Loomis Oroville Road. Continue for around 11 miles then turn right onto Similkameen Road. Drive 2 miles and continue on Nighthawk Road. After around another 2 miles, turn left onto BC-3 W. Continue about 16 miles then turn right to stay on BC-3 W and continue another around 80 miles to the Monument 78-83 Trailhead which will be on the left.
