On the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge, Nesmith Point is a relatively low peak at under 4,000 feet and generally melts out in spring, offering a great early-season thigh-burner for those hoping to get outside.
The Nesmith Point trail was heavily damaged by the Eagle Creek fire in 2017, but has been restored and reopened due to the hard work of the Trailkeepers of Oregon, Forest Service, Northwest Youth Corps and American Conservation Experience.
