Hiking Rainier Woods Park

Rainier Woods Park in Puyallup is a small, 9-acre park that offers several possible activities for visitors — including an off-leash dog park, softball field, basketball courts, playground and picnic area — and a small wooded area with short hiking trails that WTA has helped maintain.

Getting There

From downtown Puyallup, take Pioneer Way E toward the east. About 2 miles out, at the intersection with Shaw Rd E, turn right onto Shaw Rd E. In 1.3 miles, turn right onto Cherokee Blvd. In a quarter mile, the park will be on your right. 

Between Oct 1 and March 31, the park's open hours are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The rest of the year (April 1 to Sept 30), the park is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. 

The off-leash dog park is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
