WTA is a nonprofit that needs you

We're just as excited as you to get the summer hiking season started. We're psyched our website, app and work for trails help you get outside.

But we're a nonprofit that runs on donations from regular people. If everyone who visited this site this holiday weekend donated $9/month, it would fully fund our work for the next 2 years. Time spent outdoors is priceless, but every donation large or small helps us support those experiences for everyone. Thank you and happy hiking!

Please take 2 minS to chip in $9

Hiking Redmond Ridge Trail

This is a King County regional trail that winds through the Redmond Ridge neighborhood, offering travellers a non-motorized alternative for getting around.

The north end of the trail starts at the intersection with the Tolt Pipeline Trail near the intersection of 232nd Ave. NE and NE 140th St. It heads south from here paralleling some of the main arteries in the Redmond Ridge neighborhood, starting along Trilogy Parkway, then Novelty Hill Road, then Redmond Ridge Drive. The southern end of the trail is at the intersection of NE 80th St. and Redmond Ridge Drive.

The entirety of the trail is paved and is popular with cyclists, runners and walkers alike. Along the way there are a few other spur trails that split off into neighborhoods. Another place to stop over is Redmond Ridge Park, which is right along the edge of the trail. For even more mileage, consider linking this trail to the Tolt Pipeline Trail.

WTA Pro Tip: Save a copy of our directions before you leave! App-based driving directions aren't always accurate and data connections may be unreliable as you drive to the trailhead.

Getting There

For a trailhead with ample parking and restrooms start out at Redmond Ridge Park. Take WA-520 east from Bellevue for about 7 miles, then continue straight onto Avondale Road for another mile. Take a slight right onto Novelty Hill Road for 2.1 miles, then, at a traffic circle, continue on Novelty Hill Road for another 2.1 miles. Turn right onto Redmond Ridge Drive for 0.3 mile, then turn left onto Alder Crest Drive for a few hundred feet to the park entrance on the left.

Take Transit:

King County Transit Route 224 stops at the intersection of NE Cedar Park Crest and 228th Way, which is half a mile from the park entrance.
