Hiking Semiahmoo Spit

Semihamoo Park has beach walking and the Coast Millenium Trail, a paved 0.8 mile route that gives visitors spectacular views of Mount Baker, the Twin Sisters and other peaks. Activities include beachcombing, birdwatching, and picnicking.

The paved trail begins across the road from Semiahmoo Park where parking is available. As you walk, enjoy spectacular views across Drayton Harbor to Mount Baker. Bring binoculars to watch birds and seals.

The Coast Millennium Trail spans the length of Semiahmoo Park and extends north to the Semiahmoo Resort area and the seasonal Plover ferry to Blaine.

Getting There

Take Exit 270 (Birch Bay - Lynden Road) off Interstate 5. Turn west onto BirchBay/Lynden Road and drive 3 miles. Then turn right, north onto Blaine Rd. and continue for 1.9 miles. Turn left west onto Drayton Harbor Road for 3.3 miles and finally make a right at the "Y", turning north onto Semiahmoo Pkwy. It's 0.4 mile to parking lot and trail access.
