Area Closure: This trail is closed due to the risks associated with wildfires in the Umatilla National Forest. This temporary closure will be lifted once it is safe to do so. Please respect this closure.

The Third Creek trail immediately plunges into dense forest in the remote Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness. This hike drops 2000 feet along its length before intersecting the Diamond Peak Trail and parallelling Crooked Creek, where it reaches the Wenaha River Trail.
