Hiking Tronsen Head

Tronsen Head is a great side trip on the Table Mountain trail in the Blewett Pass area. It's only half a mile and 279 feet of elevation gain from Ken Wilcox Horse Camp to the turnoff for the side trail.

The actual trail to Tronsen Head is 0.3 mile long and gains about 171 feet, but since the fire in 2012, the trail has seen years of trees falling across the route. It's hard to follow for the entire length, but views start after just a short climb on the trail, so it's perfectly easy to take a 5-minute side trip for a view and resume your hike.
