Hit the trail at 10am hiking up through 40F temps in damp fog. Streams running from the last three days of rain and water on the trail in places. I left my hiking boots by the door so I only had light running shoes. At least I had on poly liners and thick wool socks because my feet got wet. Snow in the woods starting at 4,000 ft and mostly a snow covered trail about 4,500 ft. Continuous snow above 4,800 ft but very manageable. There were four people hanging out below the climb to the haystack and I continued to the top. The east rock face scramble was mostly dry and no big deal. I had the snow covered summit to myself (no tracks!) and got some amazing views of Cascade peaks poking up through the fog.
