A great hike to do on a gray and drizzly day. The trees are so thick we barely got wet, and there’s no lookout points anywhere so you don’t miss the view. There were some very pretty areas on the trail. We continued to Doughty Falls, but it was dry so if you’re going down there just for the water fall don’t bother for the rest of this summer.
We were disappointed in the weather so we ended up being glad we chose this hike. A little steeper than I was expecting for an “easy” hike, but we suspect the distance to the high point was a bit shorter than 2 miles.
Note: When we arrived at the parking lot we saw two piles of broken glass. It’s just off a busy road, so be sure not to leave any valuables in your car.
