This was a really nice hike in a much less crowded section of MRNP. It takes a bit longer for most people to drive to this side of the park. The parking lot was full by the time I got done at noon, so get there early. The hike starts out immediately with a large set of stairs and goes up from there. Most of the elevation to First Burroughs happens fairly quickly, however there is a bit more when you head to the summit. On the way you can see frozen lake. Second Burroughs is much stepper than First and after going up it you have the option to continue on the unmaintained trail to Third Burroughs or head back to Sunrise. I opted to take the Rim trail which had spectacular view of Glacier Basin and had it not been so cloudy I'm sure great views of the mountain too. The trail goes by Shadow Lake, which unlike Frozen Lake, is approachable. There is a slight incline on this trail just before getting back to the parking lot. All in all a really great hike on a cloudy day.
