We arrived at trailhead in late afternoon 12/30. It was really cold with snow flurries. With couple of inches of snow on the ground and backpacks it took us about 1.5h to get to the lookout. Lookout was frozen inside and starting the heater was a bit hard, but eventually we got it going after multiple attempts. It does provide enough heat to be comfortable inside. Having some power and stove was nice. The views are amazing. We didn't see any wildlife except for birds, but maybe it was too cold for deer ;) Really nice spot to spend a night or two. Happy New Year!
