According to our GPS, the newly-completed loop trail was closer to 7 miles than 7.5 miles. I had difficulty finding a current trail map online, so I've included a photo of the map that's posted on the trail itself.
The new loop hike is great, although it needs more boots to pack down the trail surface. It's still very soft in places, and it was a bummer to see deep horseshoe prints already chewing up the soft trail surface.
A few stretches of trail are very muddy, hence the "minor obstacles" rating. You won't want to wear nice pretty sneakers!
This is a great time to go to see the wildflowers blooming -- Trilium, bleeding hearts, and more!
