What a beautiful hike! The trailhead is just outside a large campground and the road is paved. The trail winds up and down through an old forest with quite a bit of slash and old, fallen trees. Every few switchbacks you’re rewarded with a glimpse of the ocean. The trails winds to a forest service road and then back on to the hiking path for a loop at the top of the peak. The loop has vast views of the Juan de Fuca straight and Olympic NP. The trail was well maintained, wide and the appropriate amount of ups and downs.
