Snoqualmie Region > Salmon La Sac/Teanaway
View up the Salmon La Sac valley

Wow those views! It's almost entirely melted out now, the snow patches can be skirted 95% of the time. I'd still be comfortable with snow crossings though no microspikes or ice axe necessary.

There are no water sources besides the snow. Trail isn't the easiest to follow but once you're on the ridge just keep following the ridge. Be prepared to bake in the sun, there's minimal shade for most of this.

The road and parking were both less dramatic than expected. Xterra made it fine and a Subaru outback (one with more clearance, maybe newer?) made it as well, and there was still plenty of space for both cars to turn around. I think you could fit a third if everyone coordinated well. But if you run into anyone on that last ~1/4 mile of road past the last intersection, someone's going to have to reverse a very narrow rocky road with some exposure.

Stuart dominating to the east
Patchy snow higher up in the distance
Most can be avoided but it sure makes the descent fast
