Wagon Road Trail — Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
Trail crew hard at work. C.W. Schurman

The Wagon Road Trail was my first WTA trail maintenance stint in over 25 years and the day did not disappoint. I was one of two women in a group of about 15 and I got to "floss a bridge", remove foliage crowding the trail, dig a drainage ditch, shovel wood chips from an enormous rotting tree three of the volunteers sawed and removed from the trail, and "narrowed a trail" which may have been my favorite part.

We worked on the first mile from the parking lot from 8:30-2:15 and now I can say I've beautified a trail at my favorite exit, Exit 47!

Oh, so many tools! C.W. Schurman
