Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
Franklin Falls. C.W. Schurman

On the way back from hikes at Exit 52 and 54, I stopped at Exit 47 to see the Falls and came back along Wagon Train Trail to see what else has been done on the trail maintenance since I worked a few weeks ago. Toilet paper is getting low in the outhouse. I only saw one truck in the handicapped parking and maybe a dozen cars parked in the lot. I saw a few families and one woman with a dog returning from the Falls as I headed in, but nobody was on the WTT. A few homeowners were working on their homes -- someone had a wood fire going that made things a bit smoky near the trailhead.

WTT was in really good shape - bravo WTA volunteers! The FF trail itself was quite muddy despite all the "ladders" and maintenance that had been put in. How is it that those "ladders" collect more water than they prevent? It seems to me unless they have a way to drain, they're just going to make the trail wider when people avoid the mud in the middle...

Nice finish to the day's 13.8 miles and what's more I beat downtown rush hour traffic getting home. Win!
