- Snow starts at 3000ft on the road and is then essentially continuous.
- There is a packed trail the entire way. Microspikes useful. I carried snowshoes thinking it would get mushy at the top, but this was not the case. Snowshoes should not be needed. In theory, you could do the entire route in trailrunners until new snow.
- The very final switchback is a bit sketchy with slush on crust and a bad runout. I would bring a small ice axe or avoid the section and go straight up.
