What A incredible day this was with Ryan and I going to the Olympic Hot Springs. This was a successful trip car to car but we did have one major obstacle to face and it didn't tread on our day what so ever. We left Skagit County @ 3am and arrived to the trail head around 7 to 8 with a few stops. The Madison creek falls Trail head is easy to find with plenty of parking.
This is where the road starts behind a gate, where nature is taking back what was hers. Shortly after leaving the parking lot with electric bikes you have 2 options, do the first Bypass trail before the first bend or the second one at the end of the road where the washout begins. We opted for the 2nd one along the river and walked our electric bikes where it was not a good idea to ride.
This river bypass only took additional 15min walking bikes along the river and steep banks. This was a clean trail with minimal elevation gain. From here you join back up with the main road and ride to the Glines canyon dam which is a easy must stop and soak in the history.
Leaving the Dam My electric bike broke and we had to walk just over 6.5 miles there and back to bikes and it was worth it in everyway! little to no snow and never caused any issue there and back. We got lucky...
The springs are amazing and all present them selves differently. I will be posting a YouTube video to Unjarred Outdoors shortly if you would like to follow the journey. See you at the next trail head!!!!!!!
