Duwamish Hill Preserve — Friday, Feb. 28, 2025

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area
Going up.

A delightful walk at dusk on a beautiful night on the last day of February! 10-ish minutes up paved trail and steps took us to the top of the hill--along the way we enjoyed so many beautiful Madrone trees.

From the top were lovely views of Mount Rainier and the Duwamish River. Hand-holding at the top with our 2 year old was a must and we needed to remind him a number of times to take it slow on the concrete steps on the way down.

Just a note that there is a firing range nearby--which can be noisy for sensitive ears.

This place is a close-to-home gem. I'd like to come back to the enjoy native plants in different seasons!
