What a beautiful day for a hike! We thought we would be drenched and it turned out to be a day of light rain, a sprinkle of hail and mostly cozy gray skies.
A few notes about the trail:
-per all the other trip reports. Gates close at 4pm. There are many signs that make this abundantly clear
-bathrooms also closed for winter. But several porta-potties available at TH
-trail is in fantastic condition (thank you trail workers!)
-once you get to the rocks there’s some snow. Although we had spikes we did not use them. Poles were nice to have
-the last few steps up to the falls lookout is a bit slippery, but not too bad. The falls were beautiful!
-we looped back down via the Teneriffe connector trail. A bit of light snow in a few places at the higher elevation
Forest is lush. Green. And a gift to walk through such beauty. A truly lovely day with lovely friends!
