2025.04.01 evening, i was back to WA for a short visit, got in to Battle Ground Lake S.P. where i car-camped. 2025.04.02 around dawn, i went for an ~2+ mi Loop (Campground, and Lake). Quiet, peaceful, and saw no other person until nearing the end of my walk. Some muddy spots from the recent rain. The trails (and also the campground) was well maintained and clean.

I don't visit WTA as frequently anymore, but I was wondering what happened to one of its more prolific reporters. Guess your move back East would explain that, but you never warned us! Really miss your informative reports, and wish you the best!

btw, I am doing fine .. am still going for my walks/hikes. Indeed, this morning, Abby and I went for a hike at Shoal Creek Nature Preserve, AL ..
