What a perfect hike on a perfect day. The weather was in the mid 60's, slightly overcast, but the clouds were high enough that I could still see Rainier and Adams. In fact, I think I saw the Pickets in the north! Trail was in great condition, a little overgrowth here and there but no issue. The trail description says 500 feet of gain, to be more accurate it is 502 feet of gain to the summit and 498 feet of gain back to the trailhead, in other words a lot of ups and downs. The actual mileage is 4.40 miles per Gaia. I was the only person on the trail and the only car in the parking area.
