Great day for a hike when it turned out to be a break from the recent onslaught of wind and rain. The trail was in great condition, no major obstructions from the recent storms but a lot of smaller branches down. A report from about a week prior mentioned having to cross water/potential for getting your boots wet but that was not an issue today as the water seems to have gone down in the areas where crossing water may have been likely. The falls were roaring! No snow. It might have been snowier at the top of the falls since every once in a while the falls would send down tiny chunks of ice (nothing dangerous but noticeable). The rockier section toward the top of the hike can be a little hairy on the way down for those of us with weak ankles; I would definitely bring poles next time myself. Nearly empty parking lot and very low traffic on the trail, started around 10 am. Great hike!
