Striped Peak — Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026

Olympic Peninsula > Northern Coast

Hiked the Bunker Ridge/Striped Peak trail with our dog Molly on a beautiful January day. The loop was about six miles altogether. The Bunker Ridge trail was in really good shape, thanks to the work of the Graywolf trail crew a few years back. There’s a large rootball from a fallen tree just before the intersection of the Bunker Ridge and Striped Peak trails which could use some attention such as putting in a curb log, but the trail is only minimally impacted. Otherwise, the Bunker Hill trail is in great shape. The Striped Peak Trail between Eagle’s Cove and the parking lot has some areas that have lots of roots, but nothing too serious. Quite a few people on the trail on a Saturday, most of whom were nice enough to give Molly a pet, which she lives for.
