Capitol State Forest - Mima Falls Loop — Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026

Easy hike where you can gain some additional mileage by going past the falls a bit then backtracking the same way you came. There is a blowdown just past the falls that is passable but takes a bit of careful climbing to avoid getting inpaled by broken branches. I was able to get in a 9 mile day. Trail was quiet until my return where I passed 3 horses and 1 hiker. Lots of ferns and pretty spider webs.
