Hiked to Franklin Falls today. Used exit 47 and parked by the closed road. Only car there, but I met two other hikers on the trail. You do need a snow park permit to park there. There is a port a potty, clean and supplied. The road had about an inch of snow and it was mostly gone when I got back. You start seeing more snow at the bridge and it get to be about 3 inches once you hit the trail. Very pretty with snow, no traction necessary and the waterfall was not frozen at all. Still a very nice hike with no people. It was snowing on and off, so maybe more accumulation in the next few days.
