Thorp Mountain via Knox Creek — Friday, Jul. 10, 2009

Snoqualmie Region > Salmon La Sac/Teanaway
Lori's Lookout
A favorite hike. Besides the wildflowers and the views, today we had the delightful company of Lori, forest ranger and fire spotter extraodinaire at the lookout. We hiked from the Knox Creek TH. Road in was rough in spots--okay with 4WD, you'll need to be careful with a family car. Lower Knox Creek trail was brushy and upper trail crumbly. Kachess Ridge trail in great shape, and the spur to the summit was also snow free. Amazing views and wildflowers Highly recommended.
