Tuck and Robin Lakes — Saturday, Jul. 10, 2010

Snoqualmie Region > Salmon La Sac/Teanaway
Heather blooms, behind Cathedral Rock
Trail starts easy along the Deception Pass trail several creek fords that we had heard were treacherous by others the day before, we had no problems though. Turn off to Tuck and Robin lakes is easy to find but the first one hundred yards we had a hard time as most of the trail was under some snow. Bear towards the left though and you will find it. (I left a few lame cairns) if you are low on water here fill up here in the creeks as you won't see anymore water until Tuck lake. The trail up is steep and rocky and in bad need of a trail crews touch. Tuck was gorgeous and only had patches of snow. We were told by everyone we saw that Robin was snowed in still so we just stayed at Tuck. There was a very nice tent site above the lake in the rocks above to the right (see pics) You also get a great view of the valley just over the rocks from here. The bugs and heat were kept at bay by a gentle breeze. Caught some nice Rainbows out of Tuck and threw them back. Sat watching the sunset and drank wine looking across the valley at Mount Daniel and Cathedral Rock. We both agreed that a trip to Robin next time is warranted.
