Hidden Lake (Lake Wenatchee) — Saturday, Jun. 21, 2014

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - East
At the Hidden Lake trailhead-ages 10 and 4.
I've had this hike on my bucket list for about three years. When I discovered we were vacationing with family not far from the trailhead, I got really excited! Our youngest on the trail was 4 years old and our oldest was 74. The trail was in great shape with lots of little ground flowers blooming, terrain included shaded woodlands, mountain views and of course the lake! We did not walk around but enjoyed views before crossing the bridge. There was a long stretch with rocks on the trail and the mosquitos were annoying. The "bridge" consists of two worn out logs across running water. The eldest of our group would have benefited from a bench, and I wish we had brought along a little picnic lunch. Terrific trail with a bit of incline, easy for everyone and a beautiful destination!
Truly a hidden lake.
The bridge.
Leaving the lake going back down the trail.
