Any idea what the solar panels are there to power up? I don't remember them there about 8 years ago when I last hiked to the lookout.

I don't know what it is for. I do go up a few times a year and it was not there the last time I was there. There is a large heavy metal structure about 5'x5'x6' with a 25' antenna. Whatever it is I am sure it was very expensive to heli it up.
