Wilderness Peak Loop — Sunday, May. 31, 2015

Issaquah Alps > Cougar Mountain
This was a great little day hike to kickstart the hiking season. The trail is in great condition, parking is free and easy to find, and the forest was beautiful and lush (mushrooms everywhere!). We reached the "summit" in no time, but if you're looking for a view, prepare to be disappointed. The most exciting thing about the summit was a dog water dish at the top (we forgot ours), so that tells you how uninspiring it is. ;) It was a little buggy, but not to the point of needing bug spray. We passed a lot of other hikers who also had dogs with them - we appreciated that they were all leashed! :)
Beautiful Conk mushrooms
Angel Wing mushrooms!
